The problem is that the Fed "intervened" at all.
When bad investments are liquidated, even at a loss, even if that bad investment is GM, that IS the correction.
The entire Fed Gov has been fighting the correction that must come after their awful interventions which caused the bad investments in the first place.
By fighting the correction, bailouts, low interest, they only make the problem worse and the correction becomes a COLLAPSE.

who, besides people connected to the fed-teat, would support the fed? i think this should be one issue basically everyone agrees on. i mean...it's so obvious....why would we want to be robbed day in and day out through a huge counterfeit/embezzlement scam that makes madoff look like mother theresa?

The Fed should simply be abolished. It was a mistake to have them instituted in 1913 because they have done nothing but create havoc to the free market system. Ben Bernanke is a minor problem, the much larger is the Fed.

This is the only guy I will watch on tv even though I don't watch tv pretty much ever... I've seen him since the summer and he's addressing and tackling the biggest, most serious issues. He's not quiet about the biggest truths. I don't bother wasting my time with any of the others shows because I've seen them and not worth as much time as this guy's show.
