Ulcus - Vortex Of Vengeance

Ulcus was a Symphonic Black Metal from Sogndal, Norway. From their beginning in 1994 to their split-up in 2000 they released 3 Demos (Yggdrasil, Roles and Malicious Triumph) and only one full-lenght album called Cherish the Obscure. Son after the release of Cherish the Obscure they decided to end Ulcus and later the members joined Windir.

Nowadays the members of Ulcus have split up and play in the norwegian Black Metal bands Vreid and Cor Scorpii which was founden after Windir split-up.

I love how you can tell how the bassist really influenced valfar when they joined windir. Windir just became a better combination of both bands imo.

the metal archives review for this album isn't very complementing, at all, but i actually like this. guess i don't need to listen to whatever a melodeath dork writes.
