More at www.hightowerlowdown.org! I must admit that the seven-year reign of Bush & Company makes me yearn for the years of Ronald Reagan, when the term "conservative" merely meant right wing, rather than full-tilt, bull-goose loopy.
I'm a Democrat born right after Reagan... and Reagan WAS a Great President. And, like all Great Presidents, he might have been on the Left or the Right more, but he tried to come to the center, and act not for the Ds or Rs, but for AMERICA.
Kennedy the most Left, Reagan the most Right; Jefferson liberal, Washington more conservative; TR went both ways; FDR and Lincoln are perhaps the greatest presidentially... but ALL of The Seven are our Great Leaders... RIP RWR.
And for you young'uns who've been taught that Reagan was more beloved than Lincoln, the 80s were similar to the GW Bush years in that it was embarrassing to travel internationally because Reagan was so hated for his cruelty and aggression.
The comments here are very good. I'm glad there are still people who know that Reagan is responsible for ruining the US. And I wonder if Reagan's misguided worshipers, who now include most Democrats and the majority of the nation's youth, I wonder if they'll stop at putting him on Mt. Rushmore. I've been saying jokingly for years that he changed the country so much that they should just go ahead and rename the country after him: Reaganland.
Unfortunately I believe that the damage wrought by thirty years of Reaganesque policies can not be reversed at this point! Having lived in MI and OH and visiting CA I can honestly say that parts of each look like the third world! Its really over for the USA! You just have to wonder how bad this next decade will be!
If it wasn't for the Reagan/Bush team in the 1980's. America would have been a whole lot happier today. Under the Reagan/Bush team in the 80's... our good paying jobs were starting to be 'outsourced.' Americans were starting to loose their health care insurance & not 1 single increase in the mininum wage. Reagan just made it look just fine & dandy. I have absolutely no respect for reagan & bush's daddy anymore. Don't get me started on Bush's New World Order either. That sold us out as well.
Thanks for reminding us that Reagan was certainly no saint. You wouldn't know it by listening to the ridiculous rhetoric at the Republican Debates these days.
Cudos Jim, tell it like it is and isn't. Vlog on, America may finally awaken from its deep sleep in the hypocrisy of thinking that they're living in a democracy. Can't imagine what you'll uncover next; but please do.

Reagan was a senile boob that had zero sympathy for the downtrodden.
