Was this game scary when it came out? It feels like a film noir of amnesia without the monsters.

@TheAndiePerson It held a lot more of it's value back then, since there weren't many games exploring this particular genre. It did have a very creepy (not scary) feel to it.

I imagine that if you were to have a chance at beating the riddles without help, you would need a full dictionary, thesaurus and encyclopedia on hand. A CHANCE mind you.

You know for all it's cheese you have to appreciate this game for being a prime example of 90's video games. It has that nostolgic quality of most of the point and click stuff I played as a kid.
