  • It's funny how many people would deem this piece of music "modern" or "avant-guarde". This is absolute an absolutely classical piece!!! If you like Bach or Mozart but don't like this, you must have a problem either with your ear or your brain

  • when it modulates , sounds like underwater music from jaws

  • C-A-P-O-L-A-V-O-R-O!!!! Spettacolare il finale!!!

  • listen to 5:06 to 7:00 in total darkness. creepy o.0

  • Amazing performance by one of the greats pianists of the modern era. All the Ashkenazy concerts I've been to have been exreaordinary and memorable. I love the three wartime sonatas of Prokofiev,. each so different and great in their own way. Thanks for uploading.

  • Beautifully written. Incredibly pianistic. Splendid interpretation. I saw him play this in Zurich and it was the best concert of my life!

  • How magnificent! How epic! It's like a whole Symphony for Solo Piano!
