In which I push myself to my limit.

This CrossFit workout was originally developed for training a UFC fighter (BJ Penn) and was designed to be a "quantifiable metabolic match to the demands of the fight".

After the first time Penn did the workout they asked him "How does that compare to a fight?"

Answer: "It was like a fight gone bad".

You spend one minute at each of five stations, resulting in a a five-minute round after which a one-minute break is allowed before repeating. There are three rounds. The clock does not reset or stop between exercises. On call of 'rotate,' you move to the next station immediately. One point is given for each rep, except on the rower, where each calorie is one point.

The stations are: 1. Wall-ball, 10 ft target (Reps)
2. Sumo deadlift high-pull (Reps)
3. Box jump (Reps)
4. Push-press (Reps)
5. Row (Calories)

  • Yes, calories. I do well to get 14-16 on the rower.

  • Score was 297 in this video. Scored 314 a couple of months ago... personal best. Shooting for 325 next time.

  • I love crossfit, especially FGB. Eat right and do this consistently and it's like a drug.

  • If you can, try utilizing less knees with your push press. You expend extra energy with the superfluous movement. I'm sure you can get it up with less. Good job!

  • How do you count the rowing? Is it how many calories or how many rows?
