Great to see this again, my first favorite hit on MTV. Bought the CD recently which has the song, wow. Had to get it through Amazon, a limited pressing, but the sound is great.
One of the great rock songs ever, never get tired of watching this.

I lived in Kingston NY 1982-1984 and saw the John Hall Band a few times in the area. Great stuff! Remember 'The Joyous Lake' JHB played there must have been 1983. John Hall has a unique voice on that Strat and his band were all top musicians. Eric Parker on drums (from a local family of drummers I believe. John Troy on Bass, really solid and a punchy sound. I think the keyboard/vocalist was Leinbach or something close. I love this band.

Thanks for sharing this great early video.I always liked John and was proud that he made it to be a Congressman in New York State.The world is a better place because of folks like him who fight hard to make things happen.Another favorite of mine is Love Me Again by The John Hall band...they know how to rock!!

Good to see John is still fighting the good fight!! Met him in Woodstock a bunch of years ago and thought he was a genuine guy with brains.....great writer too, and if I remember, his wife, if they're still together, was involved with some of the writing...at least on paper. Joanne???
