The sounds at the beginning sound like hitting a cardboard box since you're using the camera's mic instead of direct line. On future videos, please turn of the auto-focus. Better lighting would be good, too.

I used to play an SDS 400 in a gospel band along with a Mattel Synsonics for the hi-hat. I had one pad mounted near the ground for the bass drum, one for the snare, one for a crash, and one for the toms (set to the descending pitch sequence). Did it all standing up too. :D It looked vaguely like a weird alien cross.

What do you use to trigger the Simmons?
I just bought the SDS-800 today. Is it able to use a sequenser to trigger the modules input?

Hey i use a arp 1611 sequencer.
The nice thing about these simmons drums is that they take allmost everything to trigger even audio signals!!!!!!
