Howdy again!

Here's a video to show you how to make a program counter with branching for all of your program counter with branching needs!

Anyways, it can be as many or as few bits as you want it to be and can run at a minimum clock speed of four (although anything below 20 is rather unrealistic).

  • awesome, I thought that because of all the delays this counter would be rather slow, but it is actually very responsive, you could probs even run it without a register between it and your address decoder! When I shoot a vid on the cpu that I am building, I will be sure to shout you out :)

  • @101m4n

  • How come you're using a 4-tick pulse to reset the counter? It seems to work fine with 2 for me

  • will this be useful for counting items or mobs?

  • this is the best counter tut

  • @scott1lol your goind to want to set up a sequencial decoder in between, since u said u had 4 outputs ur goin to wnt to make it 16 bits with a 2 bit binary memory latch, if ur counter is decimal not binary ur going to want a simple G-B flip flop array , make it 17 bits, then just hook it up, hope this helped :)

  • Hi I have a question I have a very very compact Rom+Ram+multiplexer that is 30 blocks wide and some 18 blocks high and 30 length and It is 128 bits whitch is 256 nibles and has 256 memory entries how can I get those address out like so that when I boot the cpu up it loads it into the program counter plz hhelp! o and I got got it comes to an output of 4 redstone torchs? so ther is 16 lines then another 16 lines for another whitch is controled by 4 switchs each?
