  • to Ladysiz101 - Flannel will make it thicker and more difficult to sew through. The other option is to use a serger and serge the sides instead of the french seams or I guess you could just sew a seam and zigzag the edge. Either way would work but would not be as nice a finish as the french seam.

  • Width of fabric (WOF) is typically 42 - 44 inches.

  • I would like to make a satin pillowcase - are the measurements the same? Do you have any particular advice for working with satin fabric?

  • @BelleCheveux I'm sorry I've never made a pillowcase using satin. I would guess it would be somewhat difficult to work with satin because if is slippery.

  • Thank you very much! This is exactly what I was looking for. I just made two in just over an hour!!!

  • @nola541 I'm glad it worked for you. Two in an hours, not bad.

  • @robingallagher, these are so cute! I just made four for Christmas presents with my grandmother. For us it took fourty-five minutes to an hour. P.S. This was my first big sewing project! Thank you and God bless. :)
