ummm. . . the product isn't meant for gaming. it converts hd signal. running any signal through that device will create not only lag, but possible some improper color diffusion.

It's meant for tv signals from cable or antenna. And for that, they work well enough. Is it overpriced? Iunno, I didn't get mine from TigerDirect. I bought it on a whim when circuit city was going out of business. But it does the job, and I've used it often enough to get my money's worth.

if you want to record video gameing then get a Hauppauge; if u want crap quality get a dazzle. This product sucks from my experience of it
