This is by far my favorite movie of all time. Which is strange because I don't usually like sad films. Of course there is all of the amazing music, and the great humor, but in the end this is really a profoundly sad movie. However this last song and Andrea Martin's look of approval and pride @ 3:21 not only makes me cry, but makes me smile at the same time. I know that Hedwig will be alright with himself and his future.

@RadioMidnight1992I agree. The thing with Yitzhak though is that he is a female 2 male - opposite of Hedwig. The part is played by a woman. So Yitzhak also reminds Hedwig of him/herself. We often abuse or project more anger on people who have faults similar to our own or remind us of the things we hate about ourselves. Hedwig is not only setting Yitzhak free, but by the same token of appreciation, but is also accepting him/herself as well; letting go of the victim and the victimizer within.
