In this brutal recession, does a college degree hurt your chances of getting a job. Some employers may not want to pay you more.

  • I know the people I work with don't like that I have a college degree. They all want me to get laid off. I'm gonna have to quit anyways since I don't get paid much.

  • @tipofmytongue1024 college isn't worthless, it depends on what you study, but yeah i kinda agree for most college degrees are worthless. but you don't want a high school grad building your bridge or performing surgery on you do you?

  • Anyone that goes into deep debt for an underwater basket degree deserves to be jobless.

  • College is worthless now for 99% of the people that go. In an ideal system, our young would try out brief, entry-level apprenticeships in a variety of areas until they found an occupation that matched their skills and natural talents with their interests. College would be icing.

BTW: If there's one degree that closes more doors than it opens, it's a law degree.

  • @calvn1 Psychology is the study of human behavior & organizational behavior, a 4-year degree in the field offers you a good understanding of ppl, their motivations and why they act as they do. In addition, psychology teaches students to think critically as well as creatively, so graduates generally have excellent communications skills. This kind of versatility is desirable in professions that demand interacting w/ other human beings, which opens the door to most professions. I found a great job

  • Yes I have a B.A degree in Psychology graduated in 2009 and searching for employment in N.C ... I'm considering graduate school but thinking about loans and debt... I just want a decent job so that I can pay off these loans...

  • That’s so funny how he changes the whole subject!

  • Dude I fucking love you. haha Lets be friends.

I completely agree about college, it's kinda worthless now.

It used to be that college people were rare, that only 20 people over a period of 50 years at my local college had graduated with a bachelor's degree...now it's like 200 or more people graduated in ONE year, I see a problem with that.

  • @Trollingwithmyhomies If you have no interest in politics, either deal with it or maybe you shouldn't be watching these types of videos. Like it or not, the choices of our leaders effect our daily lives and the world around us. It is a fact that politics and bad choices are what ruined the economy in the first place, and the reason college graduates can't get jobs. Mainly, too, the problem is all the idiots who are easily brainwashed and afraid of having change and those like you who don't care.

  • @cayetanohawaii stop the bs please of politics keep that out of convos :)
