V-Tone Amp Modeler Pedal (Marshall Mesa Fender) GDI 21 (based on SansAmp GT2) Winter NAMM 2011 '11

Here is another modeler ... the V-Tone Guitar GDI21. This one is based off of the SansAmp GT2. It has 3 modes - the California Mode (Mesa Boogie), the British Mode (Marshall) and the Tweed Mode (Fender). It also serves as a Direct Injection (DI) box to plug into mixers. IMO - Something like this isn't too far off from the AMT line - this is designed to sound like other amps, in a foot-switch form factor.

doesn't this have a humming noise when the drive is set to a maximum? mine does.

The Brit + Hot Wired combination reminds me a little to a 5150 sound. I mean, it feels heavy enough to play metal and crunchy enough to play hard rock. It's a great combination.

Sadly, you'll need a Cabinet simulator for this pedal, it is meant to be used directly into a mixer o PC input, but that didn't work well for me.

Anyway, I have it and it's great!

I got the tube modeler pedal, unbelievably true tone tm300 kicks ass. For 25 bucks nowadays you can't get fresh air, not a great pedal. The only low side is that you cant dime all knobs because of the beeping sound coming thru, but that's hardly an issue

This pedal rules but ONLY in combination with the TO800 or any ts808 based tubescreamer.
