Ah Ward! Agree with you guys. Too bad Ward was killed so early in the last movie he and his best friend Duke did. Did you know that Duke was in an episode of Wagon Train?
Pappy Ford directed it and a great many scenes from the movie WagonMaster were in it. Ward's untimely death at 57 left many of us stunned and in disbelief. One of the most prolific and underrated actors ever! KP

Donald 6899 John Wayne did not fight in world war two because he was turned away at the draft board for a shoulder injury suffered while playing football at usc and also to stay with his rapidly growing family

@Cowbelltheoneandonly So because he isn't the western image Clint Eastwood created well after John Waynes time, he is a terrible cowboy. How can he be a terrible cowboy if THAT certain image of cowboy had barely been created.
It's like saying Steve Mcqueens a bad cop because he isn't John McClane

@Cowbelltheoneandonly He was a good actor and not a cowboy at all, wait if you actually thought he was a cowboy, I guess that would make him a pretty good actor.

John Wayne was a mediocre actor, let alone a terrible cowboy. He didn't have the true gritty lone-rider characteristics needed to be a cowboy, and thus I declare him a terrible actor.

Anything John Wayne is the best !!!
