  • Boot from Windows DVD/PE and access the cmn prompt.

Find the drive letter of the partition where Windows is installed. XP/Vista is normally C:\, Win7 is normally D:\

    copy c:\windows\system32\sethc.exe c:\

    copy /y c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe c:\windows\system32\sethc.exe

    Reboot to windows

At the logon screen, press the SHIFT key 5 times.

You will see a cmd prompt, enter the following command to reset the password

net user your_user_name new_password (replace with ur user name and new pass)

    Done

  • Four steps can help you reset the lost Windows 7 password:

Step 1: Download "Daos Windows 7 Password Recovery Tool"/Windows Password Rescuer on any available computer you have access to.

Step 2: Install Daos Windows 7 Password Recovery Tool and run it to burn a bootable CD/DVD or USB flash drive

Step 3: BIOS setting of your locked computer to set it boot from CD/USB.

Step 4: Insert the newly CD/USB to the computer.Reset Windows 7 password successfully after the Tool starts.

I know a efficient method: Windows Password Rescuer Advanced which my friend Jack told me. It not only can reset windows 2008/2003/2000 domain password, but also Windows 2008/2003/2000/7/vista/xp local password and create new user account without login.

  • @staplesversion If you dont know the password to unlock the BIOS then I am guessing this is a work PC. If that is true, the reason there is a lock on the BIOS is to prevent you from enabling these features to keep you from hacking their system.

    The solution...STOP HACKING.
