Yes, you can still contribute to your church even if you file for bankruptcy. Tithes and offerings are allowed as a part of your monthly budget (expenses) when filing for bankruptcy. However, those charitable contributions must be reasonable and there must be a history of prior giving. If you have any questions about whether your tithes and offerings will be allowed after filing for bankruptcy be sure to contact your bankruptcy lawyer to learn more information.
