  • Does Maya 2012 have a GPU based renderer like Blender's Cycles?

  • why not just use Maya composite for this?!

  • That could be useful. What I want to know is if the problem with the layered Texture is fixed with this release? The problem being that when an array of slots is created, then you remove something from that slot, the array for that slot is not updated, and you will end up with an empty slot popping up and messing up your render, essentially leaving you with no option but to rebuild your network from the layered shader on. I literally cringed when you chose the layered shader.

  • it's actually a replacement for a customized renderbuffer, this way you can test render additional lights/elements on top of your already existing renders without using an imageplane for example. it's a very fast way to test additional lights you want to add to your scene without having to rerender the whole scene with that additional light.

  • cool. so when does it come out then?

  • useless !!!

  • soooo so sexy
