On the Banks of the Wabash Far Away

I now live in Boone NC but I grew up on the Banks of the Wabash in Terre Haute I really miss my old home town I lived there from 1966-1989

I'm from Illinois- the only time I hear this is every year (for the last 40 years) when I go to the Indianapolis 500 as they fill the starting grid. Although Being a born and raised Illinoisan I can honestly say that nothing sounds better than to here this song- in the month of May in INDIANA! Brings fond memories!
