ALIAS- AFTER MORE THAN 18 YEARS ALIAS IS BACK WITH A BRAND NEW ALBUM, NEVER SAY NEVER!

EMI Music Canada is proud to announce that after 18 years ALIAS is back with new album, NEVER SAY NEVER (releasing March 3).

In 1990, former members of both Sheriff (When Im With You) and Heart formed Alias and released their self-titled debut album which went onto Platinum sales with chart topping songs including Haunted Heart, Waiting For Love and More Than Words can Say.

The upcoming album, Never Say Never, features founding members Freddy Curci and Steve DeMarchi. The record was recorded over a five month period in West Orange, New Jersey back in 1992. "It's been a great experience working with Steve and Freddy again putting this package together, said EMI Canadas director of catalog marketing, Warren Stewart. It really is a tremendous feeling to see a record we worked on 17 years ago finally see the light of day. Listening to it brought back great memories and it still stands the test of time. We are very pleased to make this album available officially and wish to thank the band's fans for their continued support after all this time."

Guitarist Steve DeMarchi (who has been playing with Dolores ORiordan and The Cranberries since 1996) explains, Unfortunately for us and many other rock bands at the time, the Grunge scene exploded and had taken over Even though the first Alias album was successful the climate of music had changed almost overnight Grunge was in Rock was out.

A few of the songs (see full track listing below), from these sessions were later re-recorded and appear on Freddy Curcis solo debut release Dreamers Road, but other than that, the appropriately titled record, NEVER SAY NEVER has not seen the light of day until now!

For all the fans who have asked through the years why Alias never followed up their highly praised debut release, now after more than 18 years, here it is the wait is over, and NEVER SAY NEVER!

  • Most of these songs are old. In fact, this album is old. I remember back in the early 90's that they had a new album coming out but it was cancelled for release even though it was virtually complete. No wonder they sound the same.

  • noone said it is a new work.....if you read the info you will got it better.:

  • i can't believe alias is still standing. they still got it. same original sound. and lead singer freddy curci, i know he has gone pudgy, but thank the stars he still has his amazing voice. its amazing that there are still a few 80's bands that are still around. and have not saled out unlike def leppard and bon jovi they have gone pop and country. the are traitors of rock. anywho great song i can't wait 2 get this album.

  • only problem is singer freddy curci...he's like 300 lbs. now !!!

  • 'the same'...in this case, maens GREAT.

  • Sounding the same is good considering the garbage that is on the shelves these days. Though this album has several more songs that the first, I like the first one a lot more.

  • Oh, the info says something about a Brand New Album, and that's why I posted the reply. I've also heard some of these songs a long time ago and Freddy released a few on his work. The magazine I read about this album in was Hit Parader in either November or December 1991.

  • someone give me the lyrics please? thanks (:

  • Incredible they still exist in 2009, still sounding as in their best days !
