I have been listening to Purple ince 1972. Who Do We Think We Are is NOT a shit album. They should play Rat Bat Blue ''Live'' its BRILLIANT.

I listened to this for the first time in 1979 as a 13 year old! and for years I imagined what they would look like on stage. In those days no video, no DVD, no film, no tape, NO INTERNET, NOTHING at all other than the RECORD!
Where were these recordings?
Where were these films?
It is actually really annoying!

I've seen Purple three times live, and heard numerous concerts... I've NEVER heard Lord play a bad concert.

What a great time in Rock and one of the worlds greatest Rock bands! I was lucky enough to play with Ian Gillan back in 2006...what a complete gentleman...

@charlessavarese Yeah that album is perhaps one of the most underrated albums in rock history. But really there were great songs on it like Mary Long and Place In Line

I think the live B&W video is from Sweden about 1972 around the time of machine head album. Possible just before. Ive some other clips of them doing lazy and looked like they didn't really know the song well. Just another little bit of info.. The picture on Made in Japan was taken in London at The Rainbow theater. Before they went to Japan. If you look in the bottom r/h corner you can make out the Rainbow logo
Some of the audience shots 1:49 and 4:40 are also featured on the Uriah heep dvd "live from the Byron era" ! .

GREAT Documentary..Immediately After this gig DP Played the Felt Forum,an
annex to Madison Sq.Gard N.YC..I was privilaged to be there..IT was BETTER
than the even this ROCK CLASSIC..REALLY...the stage was mobile and ROSE
with dry ice teaming all over as they belted out Smoke on the Water...followed
by SPACE TRUCKIN.....THANK YOU GOD for letting me witness that...I am
Eternally GRATEFUL. The Jockey who was with me Freaked out but luckily
he had me to help him maintain....ROCK HEAVEN !!!
