Some - not always meant seriously - "facts" about riding a motorcycle. For the most part really just a cheap excuse to excercise
and test my knowledge of the video-editing application kdenlive under Ubuntu. Experimented with voice-over, multiple camera-angles and audio-/video-transitions. I took a good chunk of inspiration from vloggers like ROKKIT44, downshift83 and woodenchairs. The three main applications I used are kdenlive (video-editor), inkscape (for vector-graphics) and gimp (for raster-graphics). All the footage was recorded with a VholdR ContourHD at 1280x720@60Hz... and yes before you ask, I'm a complete Ducati-nut :)

  • Nice jacket. Just got monster 620. First bike. Practicing first ride dropped while circling. Eyyyyy such a noob

  • @AsuTranceSociety Yeah, the Ducati leathers are sweeeeet :) Regarding your trouble with slow circle practise... be sure to look in the MIDDLE of the circle... use ONLY the rear brake to keep the bike slow... have pressure on the foot-pegs and hold/steer the bike with your knees firmly touching the tank. DON'T use the front break, DON'T sit with all your weight just on the seat, DON'T look directly infront of the front tire. That should help you get more secure.

  • Ah... now that you mention it, I remember that they had a non-HD version of the Contour before... my bad.

  • The only change from the default settings I did is set the format to 1280x720@60Hz. I have the Hi/Lo switch at the back of the ContourHD set to "Hi". I don't know what you mean by the term "mettering".

  • @coleraby Mine it's HD alson, but maximum is 720p, not 1080 like your. Anyway, thx for info ;)

  • @coleraby I think you have Contour HD 1080, mine is Contour HD 720, so it's not possible to change from 1280x720@30fps

  • Great video :)

Regarding the Contour HD, can you please advise about the "Bit Rate" , "Lighting Conditions" and "Mettering" that you are using ?
