  • A lot of these obscure 80s bands got more talent than any of the bands of the day. Fallout Boy has nothing on The Producers.

  • Okay that does it: I'm gonna invite my 13-year old nephew & his friends over to watch these clips. I'd bet that they find these clips more entertaining than the Jersey Shore celeb wannabes!

  • @LisaJ31gifts Or Rebecca Demornay?

  • @AngelofAnguish ...word bro

  • Compared to THIS, I'd say there IS NO MORE music, TODAY! Yea, WHY BOTHER with modern artists when you've got "old school" artists!

  • @SMFXybalba Too bad modern rock/metal guitarists can't or don't play like Brad!

  • @Anglynn74 Oh the Producers...I hated them! lol I remember that MTV always played them mostly in 1981 & 1982 but my guess is that they had few videos to work with in those days. Thankfully they started phasing them out by 1983.

  • The Producers? Never heard of em & I wasn't a baby back then, I'd watch MTV quite often

  • It is Kelly Taylor's mom on the tampon commercial!

  • I’ve written many letters to Viacom (I believe that they are the owners of MTV) to push the idea of a ‘retro’ MTV network. A channel that would show original broadcasts from 1981 to 1988 (the best years in my opinion). Deals could be made with the original VJs to pay them residuals (such as network performers get) and I am guessing that Viacom owns the right to re-broadcast the original programs, videos and all. Perhaps if enough people wrote, they would consider it.

Before the name Wayne Famous appeared on the screen, I was thinking Mike Judge on keyboards.

  • Brad Gillis's Playing is orgasmic !!!...
