Rajeev Kumar On The Tabla

Rajeev Kumar has been studying tabla for the past 24 years and is a student of the well known and renowned sitar/tabla virtuoso Shri Kinnar Kumar Seen. Rajeev immigrated to the US with his family at the age of 8 and is a software developer by profession. Music definitely runs in the family as Rajeev's father Tek Chand Kumar sings bhajans with the harmonium. And Rajeev's younger brother Sanjay Kumar is also quite talented being an expert in singing and playing the guitar. And finally, Rajeev's sister Indira Kumar certainly knows how to enchant the audience with her beautiful dance performances.

You're analyzing it from the wrong perspective. Indian music doesn't follow the same rules as Western music does. Learn2culture.
