  • Porsche and Ferrari have always been the two heaviest hitters in the sports car world.

Like it or not, Lamborghini never came close. I love the scissor door flagships as much as anyone but before they were bought by Audi, all Lambos were notorious for hideously poor reliability and impracticality; and their market-share in road cars and racing was never even on the radar compared to the Maranello and Stuttgart Stallion.

  • LOL... 7:42 you can hear Richard saying "Ohhhh God"

  • dont forget that it was lamborghini that started the lunacy with the muira

  • Sorry, but I'd take the Porsche any day of the week. Even today, I'd much rather have a turbo or a GT3 than a 458.

  • Hammond can't shift!

  • ok

  • If I see that stupid fucking Miller 64 commercial one more GODDAMNED TIME!!! I swear I am going to kill someone.

  • obviously you know nothing about the porsche brand, they're supposed to look the same, thats why the have an iconic heritage and pedigree, and also why they're the best performance car manufacturer in the world. booyahkasha

  • K I don't know where you're persistent with this. All throughout my childhood there is no car I payed a higher personal tribute to than the McLaren F1.

I'd take a civilian plum colored F1 over any Koenigsegg, Bugatti, Pagani etc.

But my point is, if you trace the comments back far enough, that from a business perspective, Porsche and Ferrari and by far the biggest and most successful names of them all.

    That's all I am saying.

  • I dont really know, But im pretty sure the f40 did not compete in more rough and dirty sports like dakar and rally like the 959 did compeete in dakar and was planned for rally. But the previous Ferarri, the 308 GTB and 288GTO did compeete in rally from about 1981 or 1982-1986. Even on gravel, it looks a bit weird to see a ferarri compeete in such but it did.

  • Maybe that's because Mclaren haven't competed at Le Mans since 1998 and most of the time they are racing in F1.

  • they sure did!

And they've won zero since ;)
