It is so awful and unfair that things like this happen. I feel so sad for poor Daniel and his family. I hope and pray that the case is solved.

I just want to say RIP little man. Unbelievable result following the relentless effort by his family who have shown so much resilience. Soft society breeds scums like P1, P2, P3, P4, P5... In my books they chose to terminate their right to live long ago. Through soft ideologies and good intentions we spend huge effort, time and money to try to rehabilitate the rats. Break the scums neck and move on. That's all.

RIP Daniel Morcombe!

Your disappearance touched a nation. I think the Daniel Morcombe Foundation is such a wonderful idea, to keep your memory and spirit alive. I only just recently found the website, and i was in tears reading it. Your pain may have ended, but your loved ones have to live in sufferance and heart ache. I hope they catch the person or person's that committed this awful crime, they should be showed no mercy like they showed Daniel no mercy, lock em up and throw away the key.

I have a teenage son, and i look at him, and see how he is enjoying his life doing all the things that he loves. Daniel never had the chance to be, do or have anything he wanted in life, because it was tragically cut short, It could happen to anyone, so i think communities & schools need to be educated on how to protect children. No family should have to endure what the Morcombe's or other families have. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Morcombe family and the community

@TheMeezzio you make a good point. I suppose it's just the need to blame someone, these things are often a chain of events. Nevertheless, you're right - it's the bl**dy murderer who is to blame, nobody else. I only wish we lived in the dark ages and could set this killer loose amongst a crowd of angry people. Justice. Not a life sentence - that's too good. Looking at the photos of the parents in the newspaper is just gut-wrenching, the anguish and pain is all over their faces.

@darepow It is definitely not the bus drivers fault. Morcombe wasn't standing at an official bus stop. I am sure he feels guilty enough without people claiming that if he had done 'his job' he would be still alive.
