@flyboy83297 well everyone who´s involved with the sport knows what tremendous power it is in a kite. And when a thin nylon thread is flying trough the air pulled with great force, and your neck comes in that path.. Thats when the beheading could happen, not by the kite itself ..

@eeemanjam well there is no hard shell on a kite, its inflated by air, so I doubt there would be and beheading, maybe a bruise? if any :P

you lucky. I just had even closer encounter in Boracay. A guy dropped a kite in-front of me and I actually ran into his lines with my neck!
I almost got decapitated. Luckily, he immediately released the kite and I also reacted and dropped my kite and fell back. So I only have a scar on my neck now. split second later, I'd had a sever damage to my neck and would definitely die! :-(
Always assume that another rider is a beginner or that they can make a mistake. never drop your guard!
