Loved him back in the sixties, love him still, and mourn his death, because it's oh so peaceful here, no one looking over our shoulders, nobody whispering in our ears.

bought one of his cd's many years ago because of the name. The cd was great & I enjoy it very much. I married into the Rankin family (Texas, Ark, OK clan). Kenny looks so much like my father-n-law I felt they must be related. So sorry to hear of his passing. He is an amazing artist. RIP, Kenny. Blessings to his family.

Not only one of the greatest male voices every he was a truly romantic singer. This was no one like him and given how unimportant singing has become to pop music, I doubt we'll ever see one like him again. To many singers use vibrato as a way to hide their lack of control over pitch. Kenny could ring a note like a bell and sustain it in pure tone endlessly. He sang notes like an instrumentalist, only swinging to notes for effect. Many singers are just singers. Kenny was a real musician.

I'm so sad Kenny Rankin died. I was planning to see him live next month, now I'll never have a chance.

Just goes to show you, you can't take anything for granted. I loved his music and went to see him live one time. I never thought I wouldn't have a chance to do it ever again. Music lovers have lost a true genius....but there's some great music in heaven........R I P........

Love this guy....Just discovered him editing videos for a classic rock i phone app. Fell in love with his live versions of Sunshine of my life, Blackbird and You are so beautiful. How did he die?
Kenny passed away today and the world lost a beautiful voice that reminded us of the beauty in the world. Thank you Kenny for the music you have left us.

Now he's gone;
Wandered on.
We won't have tomorrow.
Who will hide sorrow,
From a wild rose.
Rest you easy, Kenny.
