This is most certainly one of the best love songs every written. What a classic! So very beautiful! This song grabs you right from the start. This is most certainly the best Foriegner album ever! :-) I would play the 8 track over and over every day back then. So many great memories of youth with this song. Skating at the rink or hanging at the pizza parlour with my best friends. Feeling the way you should feel when you are young- so carefree and so alive! Awe that feeling. I so miss the 80's.:-(

@dmainfla I have some awesome memories of " couple skate"! It is funny how you can actually meet a future boyfriend when you do the couple skate thing. :-D I sure miss those days and yeah, this is one of the most heart felt and beautiful ballads of all time. I never knew that Thomas Dolby did keyboards on this song. Still learning new things after all these years! lol And yeah, getting closer to 45 but not there just yet! LOL! :-P

Very very true! The keys and production on this one still work. Thomas Dolby was a, then, unknown keyboard programmer on this project. Favorite ballad of all time and, hey you never know when they're going to announce "couple skate"..... LOL You've GOT to be close to 45! :)

in 1981 when this song came out. music was cool back then. but pop these days is terrible. music started going bad to me around 1987. but the 90's on up was a bad time..

I lost a wife and gained an incredible relatationahip partly as a result of this song - hmmm. maybe it was just the fact that this song was popular at the time - anyway, it was very appropriate to the circumstances of my life at the time - damn...it's very intense - enjoy everybody!!!!
