Caught in Taiwan, summer 2008
It's cute *0*
...Poor fish though ;A;

Note: Blue Rings are toxic and you should not keep them as pets, unless you know what you're doing. The venom has no cure, BUT the human body is capable of breaking down the tetradoxin if CPR is constantly administered. Please do not do anything that will endanger either yourself or the animal.

  • are they salt or freshwater??

  • The fish is freshwater, cause it's most cheap lol.

    Um, and as far as I know, octo are usually salt-water-dwelling >uO;;

  • Even doing a simple water change can cause a serious rash and even dizziness. Since they don't only kill their prey directly with their venom, but also by simply releasing it into the surrounding water sometimes. Their favorite prey is the mantis shrimp, if you haven't seen them before they are almost as nasty. Minus the venom.

  • Wow! I didn't know so much before, that's very cool! Hehe, and I love mantis shrimp, they have a killer punch! XD

    My dad has caught 2 in the tide pools, and I'm the reason we have not caught 3;; *a failure*

  • as you cost?

  • roses are red octupuses are blue alots of scary things are coming for you

  • how cute

  • @spriterdude909 I don't recommend you get one--as many commenters have said, they are dangerous! I and my dad have a lot of experience catching and handling fish, safe to dangerous ones. It was caught at Taiwan's tide pool beaches though. The sealife there will vary depending on the currents of the season, but around the summer, blue ring octo will occasionally show.

  • As a pet?!!!!!!!!!

  • @MikeGomezish killing time can take up to a few minites two days to kill no cure sounds pefectly safe

  • deadlest octopus in the world

  • I'd be scared to have that in my house.

  • @JianiBear where can i get one?

  • @ilovemacandchees2 no, it will die almost instantly if placed in freshwater.
