@Waldo99 There's not American version, they were both written by Brits. The other tune is just more popular, in both countries. This is by Vaughn Williams.

False. The carol "O Little Town of Bethlehem" is a carol written in Philadelphia in the 1800's. The carol's lyrics were published wuth music and that carol is the original. This version is taking the original carol and attaching different music to it. It is not, but it just does not capture the spirit of the original.

The original music for this hymn was written in 1615 by Sir Walford Davis - this is NOT "the altered British version".
