lets not condemn each others countries, there is good in india as well as pakistan, lets live in peace and harmony, lets learn to respect one another.
I love my watan..... Hindustan, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan.....! Tujpe dil kurban..... What simple yet true emotions in words, timeless hindustani composition........for all humanity
This song is Indian but was sang in Kabuli Wala movie for Kabul. The hero in movie was missing Kabul and was singing the song for Kabul - Afghanistan. But yeah, the song is relevant for any nation.
Thanks Zad ji. The political division of our great subcontinenet (South Asia) created primarily by foreigners can never divide our hearts, culture or common heritage. The fact that this song touches us all equally is a great proof of that. Let us all treat each other with respect, dignity and love that everyone is worthy of. I am sure that a lori sung in Pakistan sounds just as sweet as the one sung in India. We all grew up with that same sweetness. United we can stand proud and tall.
Its amazing that there are so many of us here who would like to interact, conduct our affairs in peace and prosperity for all of our collective South Asian countries. Could someone please convey that message to each of our leaders!! Unfortunately, trival issues keep us apart - and oftentime blanket this huge commonality that we have amongst us.
Infract ji you are absolutely right! This song is for all those who have a common heritage of the the great land called Hindustan and its inhabitants (whether Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Parsi, Buddhist, Jain) and their descendants. Long live South Asia and its culture. I hope some day we can all live in peace and celeberate what we have in common rather than fight over whether this song is Indian or Pakistani (yaar Pakistan did not exist when this song was written-we were all Indians at that time.).
