The whole point of an army is to defend the country from all enemies, foreign or DOMESTIC. a riot in the streets is a danger to everyone around it. thats why the the army should be used to stop those violent acts.
your an idiot stop talking.

Civil Servant does not mean a servant literally, but then again I don't think you have much of a education so I can understand the confusion.
I'm not 21 anymore, don't know why it says that am in my late 20s now. I googled it, don't believe everything you read in the papers, it's just the Daily Express trying to sell copies. They have no actual evidence about the use of the army, but in any country the army is trained to deal with civil unrest when anarchists like yourself take to the streets

'last resort' = Massive statement
And you make no sense with your starting sentence...if you are implying I believe our army SHOULD be used in that way then you are completely wrong, the last thing the army wants to do is to civic duties, we need another 6,000 men in Iraq and Afghanistan out of army that can give only 700 more in times of crisis (say hypothetically France invaded we would only have a force of around 9,000 fighting personal to defend these isles)

They have never been deployed for the above reasons, even the poll tax riots when it was just a bunch of anarchists trying to cause trouble.
The only time the army has been called in in the last cenutry was Northern ireladn when the IRA and Loyalist paramilitaries would bring weapons to riots and the RUC did not have the capabilities to hold a riot together.
who said we were training for riots in britain dickhead
