'Tis So Sweet by MG! Enjoy the visuals while you can!!♥

At the March on Washington in 1963 Mahalia sang in front of 250,000 people "I've Been 'Buked, and I've Been Scorned", in which Martin Luther King, Jr. made his famous "I Have a Dream" speech. She also sang "Take My Hand, Precious Lord" at the funeral of her friend Martin Luther King, Jr. She was one of his favorite gospel singers. Indeed, her good friend Martin Luther King said "a voice like hers comes along once in a millennium". In addition to sharing her singing talent with the world, she mentored the extraordinarily gifted Aretha Franklin; she was a close friend of Aretha's father, C. L. Franklin, and a frequent guest in the Franklin home.

  • Finally there is an national monument for this great man,at last.

I,m white from the Netherlands but MLK inspired me from my early years on because racism still excists .

We must never forget this man!

  • He really was the most amazing and genuine man. The i 'have a dream' speech turned the tide in relation to the civil rights atrocities. Dr King will never be forgotten in this life. They thought they had killed him - silenced him. Not so, they immortalised him. He is an icon of virtue. A perfect example of how a man should walk in this life. Single handedly he brought American black and whites together, showed them how to live side by side. A cure for predjudice.

  • I am a black man and I do not appreciate the racial slurs that are bring made about this video! Martin Luther King Jr. was truly a man of God, far from communist and far from from a whore. It hurts me to that there is still racism out there. Let me get something straight, one I hate/despise the word "nigger", this word should never be used, two, deal with the fact that a BLACK man changed our society. If you have a problem with black people, then you need to pray. Three, in the beginning GOD cr

  • 5:43 looks like a commie poster but usually there was Lenin in place of the Dr. King. So it is true. King was nothing more than a Communist Thug.

  • @ClassicUSRap Whitebreads?? Racist much? BTW when that commie spook was shot, you Negro's did nothing but make your cause even more precariuos by burning and destroying your own neighborhoods. Cities burned for days . Are you proud of that? Of course you are because you got back at Whitebread. Typical nigger.

To James Earl Jones!! I toast thee!!

  • @jahboyz3 And you find that funny do you??

  • since Pres. Obama is so outraged over "faux" homophobia in [the] Black community & Black churches, why does he so ardently seek and assume their electoral support on every opportunity ? Since it outrages him so, perhaps in order to allow him to maintain his character & integrity, the "Black Community" should offer it's objectionable, homophobic support to a more reasonable and balanced candidate come 2012- just a very short time from now ! Is there any other group he snubs more than Blacks ??

  • BRING BACK LYNCHING for unruly blacks !!
