Bethany Hamilton. at just 13 yrs old she lost her left arm in a shark attack on October 31st, 2003.
At that time, at just 13 yrs she had already secured 8 surfing sponsors. Ranked 8th in the junior world.
2008 was her first year competeing on the WQS and this year will make it her second year on the WQS with hopes of making it onto the WQT.

@Taylor63771 they show that part of the interview at the end of the movie. I want to say 20 on 20 (or is it 20/20) or it is 60 minutes. Not quite sure but thats my favorite interview of her. I hope they include interviews as extas on the dvd!

@kezinch1213 I do not know. I have been busy with school and unfortuantly not giving this video the proper attention it apparently needs from immature people out there. Bethany is a huge inspiration! I was practicing for my high school cheerleading tryouts. About a month before tryouts I sprained my hand! People told me I should lay off my hand but I kept pushing. I am the same age now as she was then. Thank you Bethany for giving me strength !
