www.tstc.edu Did you know a modern car holds more computers than the first spaceship? Today's vehicles are so electronically advanced and computerized that the automotive industry requires technicians with specialized education and skill ... advanced training and abilities. The specialized systems found in today's vehicles require unique training and knowledge, in-depth understanding and the skills to address everything from automotive microprocessors to front-wheel drive systems and electronic fuel-injection, and much more.

The Automotive Technology (AUT) program at Texas State Technical College steps up to face this challenge with a program to prepare serious individuals for careers as technicians in today's automotive industry. And the AUT program offers the kind of training and skills that can help you adapt as the industry changes.

The Automotive Technology program, ranked the leader in post-secondary automotive education, features approximately $3 million worth of the latest equipment and laboratories. AUT is certified by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation and its instructors are certified by Automotive Service Excellence.
Today's automotive technicians enjoy excellent careers. With thousands of job openings, the automotive repair field offers virtually unlimited positions, salaries and growth potential. Automotive Technology graduates qualify for positions such as automotive service technician, service adviser, service consultant, auto parts specialist, parts sales or service manager.
