A visitor to the South Norwalk Tower Museum (formerly New Haven RR SS44 BERK) demonstrates the way to pull up a route from the Danbury Branch to the 6 track at South Norwalk station. This is the most complex route in the interlocking plant requiring 16 separate lever pulls to align 5 sets of points and then clear the 64 signal. This could have been worse had some switch levers not controlled pairs of points for the crossovers.

The 64 signal pull was out of sight of the stationary camera shot.

  • Everyone is looking at the guy throwing the switches with a look on their faces that say "Is he supposed to be doing that?"

  • Hey, were you with the group from West Jersey chapter/Subchat? Because this is the group I was with, and that's one of the people, lining the switches up.
