"For some gymgoers, a plethora of thin, peppy gym rats can prove to be too big of an obstacle to overcome. That's why Body Exchange, a Vancouver-based gym, has made a bold business move and banned skinny people from their establishments in the hopes of fostering a friendly work-out environment for a primarily plus-size clientele...". Should only fat people be allowed in gyms? Ana Kasparian and Cenk Uygur discuss on The Young Turks.

If a fat person successfully loses a bunch of weight at the gym do they get kicked out.?

Overweight people don't judge? Only skinny people judge?

This is ridiculous. I'm skinny. No I don't go to the gym to make bigger people feel bad. No I'm not looking to loose weight. It's called staying in shape. That's why I go to the gym. This whole idea is messed up.

On the flip-side Mc Donald's should ban fat people. Although they make too much money from them so it will never happen.

Have to disagree TYT. Just because someone is skinny does not mean they are healthy. The gym is not about simply losing or gaining weight. They could be skinny but have terrible cardiovascular health. Stupid idea all around.

They're acting like a gym is just to lose weight... People go to the gym to get bigger and stronger too. Larger people might even be inspired by others skinnier than them so that's just a stupid rule :/

so now we need restaurants that ban fat people so the skinny clients don't feel uncomfortable or think the food will make them look like a fat-ass .

Do they ban skinny people, or people in good shape? There's a difference.

The point of going to the gym is to try to get skinny/muscular as the person working out next you.

there would be a lot more controversy if there was a gym that kicked out fat people and only let in the skinny people who want to build mass
