Coldplay - Lovers In Japan [Piano Cover]

My attempt on "Lovers In Japan" by Coldplay. I tried to cover the acoustic version of the song so it's played in D major instead of G. I'm actualy playing in C major but I've transposed it to D. The instrument I'm playing is the honky-tonk piano with a layer of nylon guitar. Strings, bass & percussion arranged with Propellerheads Reason. Recorded with B-Control DeeJay BCD2000.

It's a cover, not an exact copy of the original song.

@thescientistband no, fest797 is right. You're playing in the key of D, when the original key is in G. Perfect pitch doesn't lie....sorry. You really should play it in its original key if you're doing a cover - it's not like you're changing the key to fit your vocal range: you're playing a piano, not singing. Nevertheless, I love the MTF on your hand and the tape on the fingers - you're a real Coldplay fan!!

@wiitennisman1 If you read the info you will see there is an acoustic version of this song and it's played in D and that's why I'm playing it that way. Anyways there are no rules about doing covers on youtube, at least none that I know of.

This actually sounds really great! I like the improvisation of the scale change too. i don't get why some people get so stingy on that. Just because it doesn't sound like the original doesn't mean that it's an incorrect way to cover a song. Do what you want, you don't need to listen to them.

tat version is beautiful especially the chorus part it is amazing!

it is a slow version if compare to other of lover in japan piano cover.

i still remember the title has written as >

"lover in japan PLAYED BY ME IN CHURCH"..some kind like that

but i think it was deleted long time ago.
