Kevins POV
As soon as Joe came in, Rebecca lowered her head and quickly went to the restroom, well she tried to. Joe gently grabbed her wrists and pulled her into him. He whispered something to her. She looked up and looked surprised. Oh my gosh, it that a smile? Is Joe Jonas smiling?
Rebecca ~ Kevin, Im going to be in Joes room kay?
Me ~ Okay, Joe, can I talk to you for a sec?
Joe ~ But...
Me ~ Just for a sec
Joe ~ (To Rebecca) Ill be there soon
Rebecca nodded and left. Joe looked at me and waited for me to start talking.
Me ~ Joe, are you going to tell her?
Joe ~ I dont know
Me ~ Dont hurt her. She cares for you
Joe ~ Rebeccas waiting for me
Joe turned to walk out of my room.
Me ~ You know, youll never forgive yourself if you hurt her and I wont either.
He paused for a sec and then left. I wonder why he wanted to talk to Rebecca.
Rebeccas POV
I told Kevin Im gong to go to Joes room and left. I wonder why Kevin wanted to talk to Joe. I went to Joes bed and sat down. I laid down and closed my eyes. I dont know what Ill do if they find out. Suddenly I felt the bed sink down a bit on my left. I opened my eyes and saw Joe next to me. He was laying on his side. He had his elbow on his bed and his head on his hands. I stayed laying down and closed my eyes again.
Me ~ Why did you call me to your room?
Joe ~ To ask you acted like that and bout yesterday. It felt a lot like that time when we were 7.
Me ~ I dont know why I acted like that and what are you talking about?
Joe ~ Well, when we were 7, you ran away to our lake and hid there. You were terrified, bruised, cut, and crying. Kinda like how you were yesterday.
If felt tears swell up and I turned my back on Joe. I felt the tears on the edge of my eyelids, threatening to fall.
Me ~ Im sorry Joe. I didnt mean to because you trouble. Ill leave
I got up and didnt let my face show. Then Joe gently grabbed my wrist and pulled me down onto my lap; he was sitting straight now. He pushed my hair away from my face and used his thumb to wipe away a tear that was still making its way down my cheek.
Joe ~ Hey, hey, why are you crying?
I looked down and wiped my tears. Gosh, I feel pathetic.
Me ~ I dont know, just the memories of that day is painful.
Joe ~ You know, you never told me about that day.
Me ~ Do I have to?
Joe ~ Not if you dont want to
Me ~ Joe, why are you suddenly so nice to me? I thought you hated me.
Joe ~ I thought so too. Now I think of it, I think Im more mad at myself. I just didnt want to blame myself so I blamed you instead. Im sorry.
Me ~ Its okay Im sleepy (yawn)
Joe ~ Want to sleep on my bed?
Me ~ Only if youll stay with me.
Joe ~ (Thinking pose, then looks at Rebecca) Okay
I got off Joe and laid down. He laid down next to me and pulled me into him; I got comfortable. I felt so safe and loved. What will I do when I have to go? How will I do this? I felt the tears come back. I tried to control them but couldnt. They started to fall uncontrollable. I sat up and hid my face in my knees.
Joe ~ Whats wrong Reb?
Me ~ Im sorry Joey Im sorry.
Joe ~ Its okay Its okay
He held me and let me cry and cry. Why cant I let myself tell him?
