Professionals from the Centre for Children and Youth Ljubovic and social workers from all over Montenegro learned about international standards in juvenile justice at the Child Rights International law and Juvenile Justice specialized training in Milocer from March 15 to March 17, 2010.
In the view of the expected adoption of Montenegros first Juvenile Justice Law in the first quarter of 2010, training professionals from the Centres for Social Welfare is necessary for securing adequate implementation of the new Juvenile Justice Law.
The trainings will contribute to the strengthening of capacities of Montenegrin professionals to deal with children in conflict with the law by providing them with knowledge on international standards of work and treatment of juveniles in conflict with law.
Child Rights International law and Juvenile Justice training is is part of the project Juvenile Justice System Reform implemented by the Government of Montenegro since October 2008 with help from UNICEF and financial support from the European Commission worth 500.000 euros.
