BBC documentary clip in which Brian May, Roger Taylor, Midge Ure and Paul Gambaccini remember how Queen owned Live Aid. Includes rehearsal footage, some great side shots of Freddie Mercury playing up to the camera, and John Deacon speaking. From Part 2 of BBC2's documentary Queen: Days of Our Lives, broadcast on May 30 2011.

  • EPIC performance, thanks for uploading this!

  • @monicabenvids you're welcome! I was 13 at the time and didn't quite get all the fuss about Queen, but now I certainly do. This performance is mesmerising.

  • They rocked that show - and were the BEST band that day...

  • Amazing! :D

  • THEY STOLE THE SHOW!!!! GO QUEEN

  • SUPER PERFORMANCEEEEEEEEE FREDIEE!!!

  • I disagree with Gambaccini - Queen were MASSIVE in the U.K the previous year (1984) and had 4 top 20 hits. But he is right that people thought of them as dinosaurs at that time - another band from the 70's whose comeback album had put them back in the spotlight. But my GOD! What a performance Live Aid was!
