  • the fish was 33lbs, our fox scales were not used this day, but the weight was accurate.

the fish did survive! swam away fine, no reportings of dead pike in the folowing days. thanks for your concern onedgm, but we'l carry on fishing.blade23466 she was 33lbs not 32, if someone told you 32, then we cannot apologise enough, imagine the drama when you found out someone had lied to you.....i hope you have recovered.

morrisonbox: do you mean myredrum would get bitten due to her poor pike handling?

  • nice fish mate what loch did you catch her out of!

  • Well done to the people who caught this magnificent Scottish pike..Well done for been well organised .mat ready ,forceps, even cutters .This pike is well over 30lb ..for the one who doubt do not bother commenting on this page .This pike was fearsome and a mistake could have well injured the handler..Congratulation for letting this big girl back to the water and showing the world how to care for those magnificent creatures..All the very best guys ,hope the next is a wild 40 ..........

  • what amazes me abt all u so called pike experts is that not one of you uses your own name, instead hiding behind stupid little id's whats wrong scared ye get bitten hahaha...

  • 33lb my arse...mid 20 at best! Those crappy luggage scales are about as accurate as your claimed weight!

Should you boys actually be fishing for pike if you cannot handle them?

  • Nice fish !! but out the water far to long you had the right gear do to the job landing net unhooking matt forceps next time cross fingers they will be used correctly also that fish was full of spawn hope she swam away strong but i dont think this fish would have recoverd (shame)

  • Pike Davies well done On your observation,if more pikers ,like us spoke up more, hopefully more people will Learn to handle the big girls with respect.more inexperienced pike anglers should watch more dvd's on the handling of big fish ,just because they are big, doesn't mean, their not fragile.keep catching and commenting big man .tight lines this winter and hope It's not as bad as last year blade23466

  • lovely fish guys but you need to brush up on your handling skills, turn it on its back on the mat an straddle it although that fish would probably have needed a saddle! Plenty handing tip and vids on here.

ive experienced the views of the self appointed pike police constable below who from watching a fish get netted surmised that we didnt have forceps or unhooking mat and that the fish was 11 pounds.Alot of good anglers on here but alot of guys trying to make themselves look good.practise.

  • For people who work in the angling trade ,your treatment of that big girl was appaulling ,as for the advice you tell people, you should take some of it onboard and why adding an extra pound, you told me she was 32.I hope for the pikes sake she didn't end up on the lochs banks dead the next day.you looked feart and by the clips time ,you must have had her out of the loch by at least 10mins,you should have been able to unhook&weighed her in under 5 min,I only hope the next one will be treated better

  • Nice big girl, but for people in the angl
