I hope the word "Obama-nation" doesn't catch on. It's such easy cannon-fodder for critics because it's sounds just like "abomination".

I am saddened by Rainn's coming to faith through putting God to the test; i.e., praying for the Mets to win and if they do, he'll believe in God. That's not real faith.

@Chopinsnocturnes - While it seems rather a silly way of coming to the faith, I would not personally presume to judge the current state of his faith based on that. When I first joined, it was less faith and more acceptance that it was true. I didn't behave much as a Baha'i, I didn't have a profound spiritual connection to it, I merely saw the evidence and accepted the conclusion.

Was my logic more sound? I would say so, but the degree of my faith was certainly nothing to brag about.

It is truly sad. The current argument I keep encountering worded differently but still just meaning "If the bible is true, then it's true." It very very sad. I am educating myself to help my misinformed friends and family.

You believe in a projected anthropomorphic construct for which ZERO evidence exists. Rather than making random, non-sensical comments designed to avoid offering an explanation for you ancient construct, please enlighten me regarding the evidence that moves you to pray, fast and live on your knees. That would be a better use of your time than giving me a thunbs down. *YAWN* I am SO over the theist attempt to avoid and ignore ANY request for PROOF. Oh, thats right. There is NONE. Sorry, how cruel.

How will I prove anything to you if instead of participating in the discussion whereby I display the logic you instead choose to ignore questions and repeat rhetoric?

Dramatic role-playing and insults are not logic, so abandon the pretense of being the reasonable party unless you are willing to sincerely examine the facts.

Gee, you have more 'flavours' of avoidance than Baskin Robbins has ice cream. This is simple. You posit a belief in a 'god'. Can you or can you not support this belief? I cant wait to 'examine the facts' as you say. Waiting......is that crickets I hear.....? Now if you cannot support your clim with EVIDENCE, please have the integrity to admit such and move on with the knowledge that your faith is unexplainable and indefensible, but, for reasons beyond understanding, still meaningful for you.

I find it ironic that, despite my explanation, you continue to avoid my questions by, ironically, accusing me of avoidance.

The difference between us is that you see us as competing, whereas I just see you as not cooperating.
