Ive seen comments saying that rafe couldn't have fought in the battle of Britain, but he could have as there was 1 US pilot fighting for the RAF in the battle of britain

But after Battle of Britain, americans fought since 1942-43 in the Brits side over Europe with their P-51 Mustangs and another aircraft and Brits thanked that.

but yes, the movie in that part is wrong, cos if Rafe was "american" then he is Canadian, as I said, and if canadians combated in Britain, by other side absolutelly weren't canadians present in pearl harbor attack on 1941. Then, after all, the scenes of this movie about Rafe's participation in Britain were false.

but the brits used some "calls" to refer each tipe of unit or procedence of each squadron. For example, in combats they called "continentals" to european pilots (maybe czech, polish, some french, etc) and called "americans" to pilots who are from the american continent (canadians, most of all) because canadians fought in the last phases of the battle of Britain, they are the "americans" then.

yes. They have mixed lots of things as the nationality of allied Spitfire aircraft used in combats. I think they have mixed polish, czech and obviosly brit planes in the scenes. There are some 3d effects too very well but... yes, if you are saying "americans" to do reference to united states pilots. They don't fought in Battle of Britain.

@pramboy09 Yep, with ya on that. But you know how it is. The movie is made in America, the credits all go to America. Just like medal of honor where a single US soldier is capable of invading Germany and win the whole war without any kind of help.

@mikeytheskinhead as well as the bullshit with affleck shooting down the whole lufwaffe during the battle britain, there were no american aces of the battle of britain, typical hollywood trying to take credit were none were due.  Reminds me what they did with U-571

Tora Tora Tora is 100% better film than pearl harbour. wicked sences and Tora Tora Tora was more about pearl harbour than the other film pearl harbour was which is more of a love story between two poeple then the the acttack.
