Arpaio arrests activists while Supervisor Kunasek watches.

Arpaio has started arresting those that speak up against him on bogus charges of disorderly conduct and trespassing. 8 arrests happened last week alone. These occurred while MCSA tries to get the Board of Supervisors to address concerns of slow response times, uninvestigated rapes, racial profiling, inhumane jail conditions and millions of tax dollars wasted in law suits. They have been attempting to get on the agenda since June.
Arpaio is turning Maricopa County into a police state and not doing his job.

Update on these fine freinds of justice. All were found 100% innocent od any wrong doing. Even the Judge commented on the abuse of power. Lawsuit for wrongful arrests are underway.

She was being targeted for not following the rules and disturbing a public meeting. Everyone was already told to be quiet,you speak when you get your turn and not until then. Arpaio is the worst law breaker in Maricopa County. These people did not break any laws but were arrested anyway. Do you even bother to watch the video's you comment on or do you just blindly support Sheriff Joe?

Arpio has made a career out of bending the laws. A few years ago, he was trying to get his posse to form checkpoints on every road leading in and out of phoenix. He was going to have every car going in and out of phoenix checked for drugs, inside and out. Thankfully, this did not happen as other law agencies stepped in saying it was unconstitutional. I can't remember the exact wording, and what law it broke, but it was progress against him. He just barely made re-election as far as I know.

All five of these people (the four arrested, and Mrs. Teran, who was later cited) were aquitted of all charges in September of 09. The Justice stated that the defendents civil rights had been "trampled upon", and he also stated that he was dissapointed that the county attourney's office had decided to defend the MCSO's position. Civil suits to follow.
