Your Pattern would be more effective if you had it bent the opposite way. Stone flies only bend that way when they are out of the water, in the water there thoraxes arch up wards when they lose there footing. Just some entomology facts for ya. I tie all my stones on straight hooks and then bend the shank up. The daiichi swimming nymphs hooks are nice as well. Nice tying, Keep up the great work.

Hey, thanks for the reply. I tied a few of them but in a smaller size # 10. I think it would look alot better in a larger size then what i tied them in. I also used different material for the thorax but still looks very effective. Thanks again.
Very nice tie! Do you add wire to the thorax area of the fly? For the dubbing in the thorax area your adding light brown squirrel hair dubbing? Last question are u splitting the tails? Thanks again, very nice fly.

Hi! Thanks! I usually weight the abdomen. The brown dubbing is my own blend and yes, it's squirrel, though recently, I've found that mixing in a small amount of thin deer hair actually makes really nice legs! Not splitting the tails. Just using 2 goose biots. Glad you like the fly. I keep meaning to video some more patterns. Just have't had the time.
