The best 4 x 4 by far. You can literally put a pin in a map and a Land Rover will take you there. The song and the video are perfect like the Land Rover is. It does exactly what it is supposed to do. Nothing fancy or glamourous. It just works. Don't change a thing Land Rover.

Never had money to build something new and competitive? The design has stayed true to itself because it works. It does not need to evolve to become more competitive, its already the best and has been for all these years.
Stone-age engines. The idea is they run on poor quality fuel from around the world and they are easy to fix. And they do that perfectly.

so you think other cars from those eras were reliable? I will totally agree with you on build quality, only in recent years have they improved but if correctly maintained, they will be more reliable than most cars. Mine is 20 years old, has 250k miles on the clock and has never required a replacement part for the engine (other than service items). Land Rover know their target market, if the Defender is changed to be like any other modern SUV, it will not sell half as well.
