i dosent really matter where you drive them your wheels will wear down eventualy so it is ok to drive on or off road grass snow and ice are fun on road for speed or off road for jumps just depends what you want to put your car through

the differentials in off road cars are designed to deal with slippery surfaces. you wont do any short term damage (unless they are plastic gears) but over time you will see loads of wear and tear. becomes expensive when you break stuff often. also buggys are fast off road, but on road cars are geared better for speed as well. I have a buggy, and its the must fun... your call.

Always break it in for a few tanks, then you can give it full throttle
