Benefits of Sending Salawat / Durood [HD]

Jibrail (alaihi salaam) once came to Prophet (salallahu alayhi wa sallam / peace be upon him) and said:

Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) has given me the knowledge to count every leaf on earth, every fish in the sea, every star in the sky and every particle of sand on earth, but there is 1 thing I cannot count.

The Prophet (s.a.w.s) asked Jibrail (a.s), What is it?

Jibrail (a.s) replied, When one of your Ummah recites Durood or salaams to you, the
blessing Allah showers upon him becomes impossible for me to count.

Please read durood regularly in'sha'Allah and recieve many many rewards in this world and the hereafter.

There is no doubt Jesus (Esa) ibn Maryam (On him be peace) is a great and honoured Messenger sent from God. He is still alove and will be returned amongst us at the end of times. As Muslims, we also send our blessings to Jesus. However, followers of Jesus are now instructed to follow the final and seal of all Messengers, Muhammad (Peace be upon him) - Jesus himself said there will be another messenger, and he will be the "praised one" which translates into Muhammad.

Abu Huraira reported many ahadith from Allah's Messenger (pbuh) and one is that Allah's Messenger (pbuh) said: I am most close to Jesus, son of Mary, among the whole of mankind in this worldly life and the next life. They said: Allah's Messenger how is it? Thereupon he said: Prophets are brothers in faith, having different mothers. Their religion is, however, one and there is no Apostle between us (between I and Jesus Christ).
